After meeting with several contractors for our second-story deck project, we ultimately decided to move forward with Bay Harbor Remodeling and Construction, with Or as our project manager—and it turned out to be the best decision. From the very beginning we knew this wasn’t going to be a simple deck build. The height of the deck exceeded two stories, which meant the structural design and engineering requirements were much more complex than a typical project. Or and his team handled everything with professionalism and confidence. They made sure the structure was built using the right materials and methods to safely support the height and load requirements. Throughout the entire process—from design and permits to construction—Or and the Bay Harbor team were extremely supportive and communicative. We also decided to replace a few windows with doors as part of the project, which required additional stucco work, interior sheetrock finishing, and painting. Everything was handled smoothly and with great attention to detail. One thing we really appreciated was how Or helped guide us toward the best material choices and connected us with suppliers where we could get good pricing on items like decking, glass railings, and doors. It showed that he genuinely cared about delivering the best result, not just finishing the job. At the end of the project, Or personally made sure we were completely satisfied with the outcome. The project stayed within the agreed budget with no surprises, which is something that’s very rare in construction. The finished deck is absolutely beautiful and has completely transformed our outdoor space. We now spend a lot of time enjoying the view of the San Francisco Bay, and our grandchildren love having a new outdoor area to play and spend time together. I was referred to Bay Harbor Remodeling by a friend of mine They are a small boutique company run by husband and wife and you can feel how much they care about you as a client I initially called to change my roof but ended up also doing insulation in exterior paint to my house I live in Alameda and it was very hard for me to find a reliable contractor. I had a very bad experience in the past. Without being said, they have a remodeling did fantastic job and I’m so happy. I have a contractor now to call to ,that operate in my area.

We met with Or and had a fantastic experience. As first-time homeowners, we really appreciated how dedicated he was to helping us understand our house. He was clear, patient, and spent a significant amount of time walking us through all of his inspection findings in detail. Or shared his professional opinions while also encouraging us to do our own research, which we respected. He gave us a great deal of confidence regarding our foundation and was very knowledgeable about the EBB program. He also offered recommendations that other contractors had not mentioned, and those suggestions aligned with the structural research we had done independently. What stood out most was how transparent and thorough he was. He showed us photos of his previous projects, explaining the specific brackets and structural designs he has used, and took the time to break down why each solution was appropriate. We felt informed rather than pressured. Our time with Or was extremely well spent, and we would absolutely work with him again for the rest of our home projects.
